What looks to be a good value at first is actually not the case at all. I went through 3 upgraded 500 watt spindles before I gave up and asked for a refund. It was then Wizmaker stopped responding to any contact attempt. I finally got with Amazon where I purchased the machine and they gave me a refund for both the spindle upgrade and the machine. You might get away with small jobs on soft wood and that's about it. The spindles have brushes and are most likely manufactured by another company, they look exactly like the cheap Rattmotor units on Amazon. The brushes and commutator were the problem with the first two, the third was wired somehow in reverse.

A plug and socket by the spindle was pretty loose, so finally I have noticed there are some burns. Orange bolt from X axis just fell off. The Machine stopped working. The support team doesn't give a ### about my issues. They removed my comment from their website. I got stuck with useless machine

The machine works fine itself but when I faced some technical issues there is zero help from so called support. One of the sockets was loose and started getting hot. I have sent some Pictures even video but 3 weeks and there is no help from Wizmaker.

The 500W Spindle is a great upgrade to the WizMaker Artisan 01 CNC Router adding 67% more power for a wider selection of tools it can use. It would be nice if spindle speed could be controlled through the program software, but manual speed control is a minor issue for the increased capabilities.

I shopped for weeks looking for a first CNC to supplement my business. I have 2 lasers but never worked with a router. First thing is the build quality, rock solid. Second was ease of assembly. With the free version of Easel, I knocked a simple sample job out after about an hour of getting used to everything and going through the software videos. Size may be an issue for some but for the price, it's a great jumping off point. One thing I'd like to see is the ability to run a trim router. And I already have a 1/4 collet ordered for using better bits. I plan on getting the 500 watt spindle soon. Buy direct from Wizmaker, the prices for accesories on Amazon are around $20 more. The limitations on spindles lack of instructional material are the only reason for 4 stars.
